We had the honor of attending the 2nd annual Picnic at the Library on Sunday April 30th! Y’all, this was an event that was totally “Ranger approved” (and of douse mom and dad too)!
We’ve been to the library a few times and have enjoyed getting to use the facilities, BUT going to this event really opened our eyes to all that the Library and it’s other branches has to offer to little ones.
I feel like as a parent, sometimes you can get stuck in the rut of going to the same places all of the time and don’t venture far from your usual. Well, I think that we will be making the Nashville Public Library as part of new “usual.”
The event offered so many of the library’s programs that day so you were able to see what your little one liked. We loved the “Puppet Show” but most of all STORY TIME! I mean Ranger gave them a standing ovation AND was the last one to leave the room. He had a blast. It wasn’t just reading a story, it was the intro, presentation and songs that had him hooked! We will definitely be back soon to see story time! Here’s the schedule for you to take your little one.
They also offered balloon animals, temporary tattoos, character interaction, face painting, picnic dinner all serenaded by a live bluegrass band and so much more! I was so refreshing to see so many little ones enjoy all the library has to offer and such a great way to support all of the programs they generously offer to the public.
If you’re interested in being updated of other events coming up at the library, check out their website and if you can get involved! What we expose our little ones to will build who they become. Website here!
